deleting hidden files?
Sorry if this is in the wrong topic, but it its server related.
I installed YaBB and discovered that it sucks. So I then installed phpBB2 and like it. So now I go back to delete all my YaBB files and folders and find out I can't do it!
Using ws/ftp I empty out a folder of all files then go back up a level and try to delete the folder, but it tells me "550 foldername: Directory not empty". But it is empty and there's nothing I can take out of it.
The only thing I can think of is a file called .htaccess that seemed to disappear when first uploaded. So if it's a hidden file that's still there, how do I delete it?
Thanks in advance!

There is an option on WS_FTP to show hidden files. This will display the .htaccess file which is a dot file, meaning it starts with a . and is hidden on 'Nix based filesystems. Delete the file and you should be able to delete the directory.

Alternatively, you could change the settings to allow deletion of non-empty folders. Use this with caution though.
