Apache on Windows XP sp2
Hello,
Is there any way to get Apache to work on Windows XP sp2? Or is sp1 absolutely the only way it can be done on XP? If so... is it worth going from sp2 to sp1? A friend said sp1 is MUCH more prone togetting viruses and having security problems, but he might not know what he's talking about.
Thus, I'm asking here .
Any help appreciated...

Hi, Are you trying to install Apache as stand alone or from a bundle ?
I did a quick search and there doesn't seem to be anything that pops out, found this
http://mpcon.org/apacheguide/prerequisites.php
but you don't have to get the bits seperatly, I used firepages.com.au and they don't have any problems mentioned on their forums about SP2

Have you turned your firewall off on SP2 (from control panel)?
SP2 is just as prone to stuff as SP1
