Adding and Deleting a Front Page Web to List of Webs
Hi
I'm not sure if you can help me, but hopefully you can. We are having difficulties viewing a Frontpage Web that does exist in NT Explorer, but is not viewable in Frontpage list of webs.
It is not a hidden file and we have added the permissions that are needed. Still to no avail. There is also 2 folders in NT explorer that we cannot seem to delete which are also FP webs. We have tried adding and inserting etc into the _vti* directory but this has not seemed to help matters. Do you have any clue as to what this could be? And if not, apart from Microsoft cause we've already tried there, do you know of anyone that could lead us to the answer?
Thanks so much
felicia

Felicia, I am not a FP export. Can you give me some more info though. Is this on a local intranet or on the internet? If the internet, is it hosted by someone or on your server?

If you're refering to a web page with in a web you first created using FP then:
- open the web
- go to the Navigation screen
- besure the Folder List window is open
- find the web page file you want in the Folder List window
- Drag it to where you want the page to be on the FP navigation chart.
If you created a web site using FP but not FP on your machine then you have to IMPORT the web. Don't open the web! That will just let you edit it w/o getting a copy on your PC. Use the Import function under the File menu to download a copy to your machine.
OTOH, if you created a web site outside of FP (i.e. w/o using FP) I don't think you can import it into FP.
