I agree with Megan. I actually have a blog site that has ended up blacklisted because of reposting exact articles from my blog. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get it relisted. So I would avoid reposting exact articles.

The best thing to do would be to write completely different articles for distribution. Search engines are on to the rewriting of content thing and are working on ways to identify it.
The other big thing to consider is the amount of your site's content are you redistributing through other sites. If you're only sending out a small percentage of your content that probably can't hurt. But if you're redistributing most of your content then you'll have more problems.
