I don't sleep.

Okay, okay, I do too. Usually about 8 hours a night, even! I figure I spend somewhere between 5-10 hours a week on volunteer efforts, including moderating forums, writing, and doing probono work for some not-for-profit organizations. But that work is really and truly research and education time, which needs to be done anyway.

Nope, dunno the gender of the Alien yet -- I imagine we'll find out when s/he decides to pop on out of there. I don't really care and Sheridan is just now starting to figure out that there are such things as genders at all, so we're just telling him he's going to have a baby and leaving it at that.

Suzanne, all that work that you are doing. How did you find time to get pregnant? Congratulations on the pregancy. Have you found out if it is a boy or a girl yet?

When I can't read it! Laughing out loud

I am heavily involved in the Cyber-Crew, true. I am the sole moderator, and there are three somewhat distanced Administrators. However, the populace at CC is mostly self-governing. I rarely need to step in as moderator.

I am also an admin at the new Fathom5.org which will be launching hopefully this Monday. It's a replacement for AstoundingWeb, and frankly is a lot more even keeled, no puns intended, than AW ever was. If you are interested in a sneak preview, http://www.fathom5.org/discussion/wwwthreads.php is the discussion board area.

Other obligations? I run my own business, I write for wiredwoman.com , I an a Digital Diva (digitaldivas.com) and am a manager behind the scenes there.

Otherwise I'm all spare time, ha ha.

No, seriously, I get a lot OUT of forums as well as put a lot in. It's my way of staying on top of things, keeping my knowledge always growing, and in keeping myself from being a workaholic.

***** CONFESSION *****

I am 32 weeks pregnant, due September 29th. So somewhere around there I am going to be disappearing for a few days and only coming back part-time for a few weeks before getting back into the swing of things. I'll do my best to alert you all, however!

Last time I was on maternity leave, the Internet was my mental saviour. I'm anticipating the same will be true this time as well. I will be taking leave from working during the maternity leave, but have no plans on taking leave from my online responsibilities.

****

K, that's me. I'm the nut in the shell.

Smiling Suzanne

I emailed them both, asking if they would like to moderate the 'Web Page Authoring' forum.

Anyone else need help moderating their forums?

Andy could take over the Web Page Authoring forum... yes or no on him? Someone ought to contact Susan, regardless if we think she would want to or not! I can if you want, let me know.

Megan, you've got 'Introductions' now.

I'd like to get someone for 'Web Page Authoring'. Then I can releive myself of that position.
Also, 'Domain Name Discussion' is moderator-less.

I agree with mairving about Suzanne - she's a great poster and all but I tend to think that she wouldn't be interested. Do you have any particular forums in mind for new people? I would offer to give up my Concept, Layout & Graphics Design mod position and move over to Introductions (since it doesn't have a mod yet) if someone new wanted to do CL&GD.

Heck, I'll volunteer to do Introductions anyway - that's a forum that really needs a mod and there is a post in there right now that needs to be moved. That is, if it's okay with Chad...

Regardless of all that - I think that the addition of new mods should really be up to Chad and/or the existing mods of forums that need new mods.

I doubt if Suzanne would do it. She is mostly focused on Cybercrew.
