What is the purpose of this ?
I had posted this question on the SEO thread, but realize that the question is actually about the code itself so I'm re-posting in this thread:
A ranking change has just occurred on Yahoo between one of my sites and another. The only physical change I can detect to the web site is the line shown below. Can someone explain to me what this line is all about, and could it possibly had an effect on rankings?

How did that change come about? Did you insert that into your site? All I can tell from that meta tag is it's something to do with verification and what looks like a unique identifier. It's hard to say what that means, especially since I have no idea how it got onto your site!

Ok, Matt's got the answer to this one. Hey, I would have know but always use the file with the unique identifier instead of the meta tag!
