I have this really strange IE problem. Here it is: the browser will not fully maximize. It will fill up the full screen, but you can see the border of the broser. Usually I can't. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try tweaking your monitor settings. If you expand the size of your display by a pixel or two, your borders will disappear.

I tried that, but it didn't do anything. Now when I view 800x600 sites I'm like 2 pixels short. Help!

Ah- nevermind I got it to work. All I had to do was change the screen size, and then change it back.

Reseting you monitor wont work since this is a software problem, not a hardware problem.

Windows sometimes has those problems with resizing. My programs sometimes stand 2 pixels over the taskbar. But who cares you cans till work with it.

Changing resolution usually helps because windows has to recalculate its positionings and it will likely not make the same error again.

I had the same problem earlier. Fixed it somehow though...

    Patrick,

I have endless problems with Windows 98 and have had several people recommend Linux, but when it comes to operating systems I am lost. I assume that you can run windows compatible software on other operating systems like Linux?

    Patrick,

You answered your own question. We're using Windows because we can't run the software we use in Linux. Yet.

Anybody have any experience running Windows programs in Wine? Or any other Windows emulators running in Linux?
