could you have a look at

i'm completely lost: why are the two rounded corners in another blue? they are both gifs, but the lightblue is in the gif too and it's the correct tone...
any ideas how to solve?

Alright, well because of the fact that GIF's only use 256 colors or so, you are limited as far as colors are concerned. When you were saving the GIF file with the background color of your choice, your imaging program actually changed the colors so they could be among the 256 that the GIF standard was created for.

Try saving the rounded corner image file(s) as a JPEG (.jpg)... it should preserve the colors of your choice rather than changing them like GIF did.
