Hey any of you guys/gals have any ideas about streaming live radio broadcasts to the net?
(set it as either you need your own server or if you dont then what can you do?)

I know it uses streaming principles, but any of you have first hand experience?

This is one of my pet projects I wanted to look into for our church. As it is, we are just getting the steaming MP3's on there the afternoon after sunday service. We have broadband cable connection at church, which for the most past remains the same IP # even thought it is dynamic. Was thinking there might be a way to each week during service time, update out website with the current IP# and route traffic into the computer there that we record with.

Even though I don't have time for it right now, I would be interested in seeing this topic discussed in detail for future reference.

From what I've seen, seems to be about 2 "mainstream" methods, Media Player and Real Player. Although, I very often listen to the streaming audio that WinAmp has available. That is pretty good quality without being such a resource hog like RP and MP.
