I lost 1 page on a h/d crash with my new host. Can I get this back somehow from my browser cache? I remember reading this somewhere, but I'm not sure how to do it.

Open up your Temporary Internet Files folder and all of your cached pages are there. If you sort by name, you should be able to find your file.

Thank for that, but my folders are empty. I'm running Win XP...are they kept somewhere else with this OS?

Try to find your page on Google - they usually have a cached copy of it.

Excellent advice, Mike. If that doesn't work, try the Internet Wayback Machine at Archive.org, see if they have a copy saved.

Thanks guys, but no luck. I have resorted to asking people that may have seen my page on that day. No biggie as it was just a weblog post, but, if I can get it back, that would be too cool!
How often does Google spider? I had posts from a month ago on there.

I assume you checked if your host had a backup?

Yes I did! They had been running tests on a new h/d and it crashed. Wouldn't have been so bad, but I was posting there, just that one post to test out the system!
