Web graphic tools !! - What's the best Web Graphics tool and creator ? (Posted by MADMAN)
There seems to be so many different varieties of web graphic tool and web creation products, i was wondering if someone could help me with the choices. I currently am using, good old Pagemill 3.0 but am ready to move to the next level. Is it Dreamweaver or Adobe Golive ??? After that do i go for Photoshop or ????? I think i must be the only user of ImageReady 1.0 as well..... ( The salesman did a good job ).
Does anyone know of any deals etc ????
Any help would be good... Thanks

GoLive Or Dreamweaver -> There's no question, GoLive is not usable at all, its basically worthless. (CSS placement doesnt work, Roundtrip HTML doesnt work) Dreamweaver rocks (although, of course, it also has some glitches, I dont know about the brand new version 3.0 though).
Photoshop is the non-plus-ultra, there is no question about that. If you want to save some money you can also use Macromedia Fireworks, though. Its pretty strong for web things.

Malte

There is a terrific program with windows called Notepad. And you probably can't get by without Photoshop version 5.

Well, as Malte said, Dreamweaver is 100 times better the GoLive. But I'd suggest you download the 30-day demo's of both products.
In terms of graphics, PhotoShop is a must (even older versions like 4.0, the latest is 5.5), Ulead ImageSaver is also a great tool, about $60 and a very good image compression program, Adobe ImageStyler is also a neat program if you do lot's of web images. I use it a bit to make web page interface graphics. The JavaScript and HTML it produces is very sloppy, but the images are great.

Notepad...........
Why use notepad when you can download a text editor that color codes tags for easy use?
Because you choose to work harder coding using notepad does that make you a better programer?
For graphics I use Correl 8, not good at rendering or anything like that, but it gets the job done.

Sadly I can't afford Notepad on my budget
If you work in the industry you will find that Dreamweaver is essential for things like quick templates etc. as it is much faster than handcoding.
What is this about DW3!!! Where can I find out about it?
