Voting Script Required
Hi,
I'm thinking of implementing a voting script on my site but want something a little different from the usual poll-type scripts.
On a now forgotten website I once found a page where you could vote for certain things. You were given 25 points and different things "cost" a different amount points.
You could remove your vote from one thing and add it to another. Has anybody got any links to something similar. I googled for voting scripts but there are just too many out there to wade through.
As a specific example I run a site about computer games. I want to run a "Best Weapon Ever" vote. People would be allowed to distrubute their 25 points to any one of the options listed. For example one person might vote 25 points for the "Doom Shotgun", while another may vote 15 points for "Doom Shotgun" and 10 points for "Flak Cannon".
When a new game is released I would add new options and the users can redistribute their points.
Hope that makes sense.
TIA

Sounds like something you'd have to design and write up yourself.
If you wanted the points to remain known youd have to set up a database for record keeping
