volume control

Hello,

From what I've been able to read, it seems as though you should be able to control the volume of an audio file played via the tag by using the volume= parameter, or through setting this volume parameter using javascript. I'm having no luck at all with this. No matter what I put for volume= in the , the .mid file plays at the same volume. I'v borrowed javascript code that supposedly sets the volume (document.name.setvol(10) for example to set the volume level to 10%), but this has no affect either. What am I missing?? Thanks for any insight.

Have you tried different media types?
Maybe midi files can't have their volume adjusted.

Bob,

I found some info on volume control. Don't know if it will work but here is the link. Let me know if it does.

Be sure and turn your volume down a bit. It is loud there.

Here is one more so that you can compare methods. One of them should work.

Disastermaster,

Thanks for pointing me to those sites, but they really didn't give me any more information than I already have. I can play the sound with no problem, it's the volume control that I can not get to work. These site, and all the others I've been able to find, all indicate a "volume" parameter on the tag for controlling volume. The problem I'm having is that no matter what I set that volume= to, the file still plays at the same volume. I can say volume=1, volume=50, or volume=100, and it has NO effect on the volume of the midi that I play.

Anyway, thanks again for trying, I really appreciate your time!
