Tracking People Leaving your site!
Ok one of the things except from this ace web board that has taught me a lot about being a webmaster is keeping a close eye on who goes to your site, what they look at, how long they where there etc etc. I have found that extreme tracker is the most invaluable resource to have on your site! It tells you everything! One thing that no tracker does though unfortunatley is tell me where poeple are going when they leave my site!
Are there any scripts or trackers that do this? I would like to track how many hits I am giving out as well as getting in!
The reason this is important is placement of banners/buttons etc. This would be valueable to me so help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello,
Can you for example get the computer name of the user that was stopping by on your site with Extreme Tracker ?
Or is this object also available in javascript ?
Regards,
Rik

Yes Rik you can!
It gives you a list of IP numbers, What hosts they were using. Where they came from. What domain type they were, What type of OS they were using, Screen Res, Screen Colours, Browser version, Absolutley everything you can think of.
Before you ask I do not work or have any affiliation with these people at all I just like their tracker!!
I have included a link to the tracker on my companies site so you can see how it works!

you have your differant choices on the left of this page for example "summary" click on it and you will see all the most popular of hits.

All this information is not limited to only extreme tracker. I personally like hitbox, but thats just my preference.
No,
you cannot get the information of where people go after they leave your site. Well, I would know a trick to do this. But it would be really dirty and I wont tell you
Ok, out your site into a a frameset with one hidden frame. If the people leave your site they would still be inside the frameset but they still wont notice the hidden frame. You could now have the hidden frame transmit the location of the other frame to your site every 30 secs or.
I've never done this, and I dont recommend you do this. It could leave a very bad impressions for your customers.

You can just use a tracking script like AXS. Much easier.

Of course you can do what axs does, but that requires a lot of work.
Well, if you think its worth it
