Tables here for a bit longer?
Just came across this: http://www.zeldman.com/daily/0802d.html#livedandlovedlikefrank in which Zeldman retreats from table-free design due to browser flaws.

And then returns to table-free design. His current design is table-free. That post was from August. The freely shared workforce intelligensia has much increased the knowledge base since that time.
ALA remains table-less as well, I'd like to point out.
However, as usual, the audience and the application should dictate how the site is built. Some sites will require tables, and their audience will be suited to them, and tables will remain for tabular data.
