Table, Fixed+Rest - Sizing ... on all browsers
Hi,
I've got a little problem.
The page(s)
http://webhome.nu/webmaster/
consist of a 3 rows and 2 columns.
the left colum (or better the first cell in the first colum) is defined with
WIDTH="192", but it keeps resizing on different browsers and systems.
I think I'm just blind.
I've been doing this for years now ... and suddenly ... please help me before I loose my ... style ?!
thanx

Hi Patrick,
I received your file, but
you also changed the right colum to a fixed width. I wanted it to be "the rest".
Afterall you found a stray "/div". The code looks better now, but still doesn't do what it should.
Any other help ??

Anti,
Didn't try making any changes, but was looking at the widths of things and it might be what is fouling the works. For example:
Column width is 192, but cell padding for that table is 10
Nested table that nav buttons are in is 192 wide
Nav buttons are 192 wide.
If this table needs to be 192 wide, then the column with cell padding of 10 needs to be 212 pixels wide.
Do you follow where I'm going here?
Hope this helps.

Went in and played with it a little. Put everything in nested tables in the left column...that helped. Finally set the column width to 28% with no cell padding and it displays pretty good in both NS anfd IE. Need to nest a table in the main body text area to keep test away from edge of border.

ohhh sh.t ...
I finally found the error I made.
The top-right cell was defined as:
... width#"100%" ...
So my template was messed up and not the main-page
The error didn't show up on the other pages because they were pretty filled up and the browsers used all the space they could get (100%). I just didn't look at the templates ...
thanks for your help ...
