Style Background-color - problem w/ netscape and background-color style

I was trying to use the style property background-color: etc; and am getting strange results due to some text inside . The color has gaps in it under the superscripted text where the normal background shows through. Does anyone know what's up w/ that and how to make it quit.

Hmm..

NS sometimes has trouble with style sheets, and has some weird quirks like that. You might try using a style in place of the sub tag, it may or may not help:

E=mc<SPAN style="vertical-align:super">2</SPAN>

Of course, NS may not support that style, which means you may have to use an image to make it work.

John;

Thanks, tried it but no go in Netscape, worked great in IE though but then IE doesn't leave that annoying blank space in the first place.
