Stupid Frames

I have searched endlessly for an alternative to frames but with frame results. I have found nothing. What made me think it was possible was a guestbook I installed on defineculture.com. As you can see, its pretty much frameless. But I didnt integrate it to do that, I just included it using php and it somehow does it seemlessly. Does anyone know how they may be doing it? I see that when I click a link on the geustbook, the url changes to pass variables.

What are the ways, if any, to have frame results without . I would use frames, but I continuously read that search engines have a lot complications with them.

PS, I already know about php includes. I want to get the results of the geustbook on defineculture.com
