Streaming Flash Audio Question

Hi Guys,

I am interested in adding audio to one of my sites and have some mp3 files.

I successfully transferred these to Shockwave Flash Files (.swf) using WebAudioPlus.

The software also gives me the following code to install on my website depending on where I want the audio to appear.

'

'

My problem is that when I install this on the site, the audio does not stream. Instead it loads the file into the temporary internet folder and only starts playing when fully loaded.

I have seen the technique used on http://mp3soundstream.com and don't understand why it won't work on my site.

Having examined the code on mp3soundstream.com it would seem there are extra parameters there. When I add these it does not solve the problem.

Is this a server issue?

Thanks in advance.

not sure if this works the same way. shockwave files are like compiled swf files from flash, and should start once it begins to download unless webaudioplus put some code in the shockwave files to stop it until it finish downloaded the whole file, how big is the swf file btw?

It would download onto the temp internet folder like any other media like jpegs and gif files ...

Actually the file is very big after compression of the mp3 file to 48kps and running it through W.A.P to create the swf file it is still about 3Mb.

Worryingly, I have much larger files I am considering uploading also.

The idea was (and I have seen it used successfully elsewhere with video) to create a membership course with audio portions also.

It could possibly be the software as you say. WAP is sold though as streaming audio application (albeit I got it for free).
