Rule of thumb on cross-browser compatibility? - Explorer / Navigator. Any basic rules?
When it comes to web browser I personally had to pull my hair and bang my head against the wall a couple of times.
I find tables in particular, very difficult to handle on Netscape.
Why tables look ok on IE and they get screw up on Netscape sometimes?
I use Dreamweaver and it doesn't seem to do the job for both browsers (tables). Is there a program that could detect possible mistakes for each browser?
Should I have browser detection and then redirect?

The best rule is to keep the tables as simple as possible so that the inconsistencies come up less often. My next newsletter actually will have a short artcile on a few common table problems, it might be of use to you as well.

DW2 is indeed a bit of a pain with tables, I for one have no problem just going into the code and fixing these problems but I do hope Macromedia will fix this problem in the next release...
