Rollover Table Cells
Hi, I'm curious if anyone has any ideas on this one: I created a simple document based on John Pollock's tutorial on changing background colors in table cells. My file is called hello.html -- the colors change as the cells are rolled over in both Netscape and Internet Explorer. But, in Internet Explorer, the rollovers are "shaky" as if it tries to change the background color in the middle of rolling over the cell. If anyone has any idea what causes this, I would really like to know. I also did a second version of this file called hello2.html. This file is not shaky when you roll over the cells in Internet Explorer, but it also doesn't change the cell color unless your mouse is directly over the words inside the cell (and further it requires a "no error script" in the header to prevent JavaScript errors in Netscape). Does anyone have any idea how to fix these cell rollovers so that they work better (with both browsers)? One last weird problem: In looking over this file, I see that I made a mistake by not including the closing bracket after the last statement (TD) in the style section of the document head. If I fix this error (by placing in the closing bracket), then the text no longer vertically centers in Netscape. HUNH? If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! Thanks, Phyllis

Hey thanks for writing. I only have IE 4.72 here at home though I'll check it with 5.0 at work tomorrow. Maybe it's only an early IE bug. That would be great!
So who's Patrick? (I'm new here. So far I've gotten LOTS of info from John Pollock's stuff.
