program to convert Microsoft word into HTML?
I have built a website for my brother and it involves updates that are forwarded to me in Microsoft Word files. I have to cut, and paste the whole article one paragraph at a time (some are 7 pages long) and then I still have to go back and edit all those little square boxes that appear in the place of an "apostrophe". Is there a program that converts it into HTML for me so that I can eliminate a ton of cuttung and pasting?
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

try editpad, has free version (lite) or paid version, paid version well worth the money.
or anything for that matter that has 'search and replace' feature.
I don't envy you translating from word, could be worse I suppose, could be early version of frontpage
why doesn't your brother just use notepad or something ?

My brothers updates are from companies that he features on his website. So unfortunately we have to put up with whatever format they use. Most of the times the updates are in a simple email and it's no problem, but there are times, like the other day, when one company used "Word" and the article was 7 pages long...UGH!
However, I discovered that when you save a MS Word document using the "Save As" feature, and if you save it using the .mhtml (notice the "m") extension that it converts wonderfully and all you have to do is view source and copy it. The ONLY problem is that the paragraphs have extra code between them (unneccessary) and all you have to do is delete that code.
I'm not sure yet why the code is placed there in the first place and I've used all of the "Save As" features found in MS Word (there are about 4 or 5 options when saving) and they all place extra, unneccessary code between each paragraph. This however is much better to deal with as it only takes a VERY short amount of time (like 5 minutes or less for a 7 page document) to delete this code. Compare that to the 1 1/2 hours it usually took me to cut and paste and change all the apostrophe's (<--like that one) so they don't show up as tiny little squares.
Thanks for your help...I'll be sure to check out that option.

Dreamweaver has a function that cleans up Word HTML. It takes out all the crap that MS puts in there.

I used DW to remove Word Tags from around 500 pages. Worked like a charm.
