prevent caching of images...
i have a script that prints a random image to the browser. in IE it works fine, but in netscape the last image is cached and unless you do a complete reload the image never changes. i need a way, if there is one, to prevent the caching of an image in netscape.
also i dont have access to the webpage the image is displayed on, just the script...
the script is here: http://ctd.virtualave.net/ebarand/ebarand.cgi

hey! do you play Counter-Strike?
I'm sure I saw one of those pictures when I was playing CS today (server was "Le Tour", map was assault).
I'm sorry, I'm not a Netscape user so I don't know what to say.

If there is no answer on Google, then there is no question.

no, its for a game called planetarion (planetarion.com) but alot of the people in the alliance do play counterstrike, and a number of other games.

You should make sure that it checks every time for a new document. In the preferences.
I recall this happening to me once, but damned if I can remember what the solution was.
Unless the image needs to rotate while the page is still there without reloading the page (which would be JavaScript, not CGI), I don't see what the issue is. If people come back to the site (other than using their back button) they will get a random image, not a cached one.
