portfolio help
Alright I hope I can describe in a way that makes sense for what I want to do.
For my portfolio page I would like to have all my work thumbnailed and once clicked on open up in another window with the same background on every window that was opened. What language would this best be done in.

The only thing I'm confused on is what you mean by "the same background on every window that was opened".

What I am trying to say is using some script that will make it so i dont have to create 200+ html files to display all the portfolio items.
something that will open another window displaying the Logo with the same background applied. Does that make more sense? I will try and find an example on the net somewhere.

Make a new html page with background for each imgae. This way can get old and tired quickly if you add a lot of new images.
Better....intsall some type of CMS.....Gallery is specifically for images, or something like pMachine Pro which is now free.

I think you mean a header type thing, where as the logo etc is on every page, like here (like most sites).
Do you have access to server side languages, like PHP, ASP etc?
As suggested make an html page with just the logo/background and call the image with the URL; you ie portfolio.html?display=123 and on the page portfolio 123 will be displayed (after you call the image)

Those are just javascript popups, Dynamic Drive has a nice popup generator. See the dropdown menu that says 'Online toools'.
