Pop-up menu sticks in Mozilla, Netscape...
I'm taking a crack at writing a pop-up menu using CSS and onmouseover event handlers and it works perfectly in IE (so far as I've tested) but it occasionally sticks in Mozilla Firebird and Netscape 7.1. After activating the pop-up by hovering over the 'Parent link', if you slide your mouse pointer slowly off the 'Child link' box sometimes it sticks open. I can't for the life of me figure out what this is. I validated the HTML code and the CSS. I find this is an unusual problem and I'm fresh out of ideas.
Here's the CSS. It's nothing elaborate:
BODY {
MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
PADDING: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
}
.TestBox {
WIDTH: 120px;
MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 5px;
PADDING: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
FONT-FAMILY: "Trebuchet MS",verdana,sans-serif;
FONT-SIZE: 12px;
COLOR: #545585;
BACKGROUND: none;
BORDER: 1px solid black;
}
.ClosedMenu .Parent {
WIDTH: 120px;
MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 5px;
FONT-FAMILY: "Trebuchet MS",verdana,sans-serif;
FONT-SIZE: 12px;
COLOR: #545585;
BACKGROUND: none;
BORDER-BOTTOM: 1px solid black;
FLOAT: left;
POSITION: absolute;
}
.ClosedMenu .Child {
DISPLAY: none;
}
.OpenMenu .Parent {
WIDTH: 120px;
MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 5px;
FONT-FAMILY: "Trebuchet MS",verdana,sans-serif;
FONT-SIZE: 12px;
COLOR: #545585;
BACKGROUND: none;
BORDER-BOTTOM: 1px solid black;
FLOAT: left;
POSITION: absolute;
}
.OpenMenu .Child {
WIDTH: 120px;
MARGIN: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
FONT-FAMILY: "Trebuchet MS",verdana,sans-serif;
FONT-SIZE: 12px;
COLOR: #545585;
BACKGROUND: none;
BORDER: 1px solid red;
DISPLAY: block;
POSITION: absolute;
LEFT: 126px;
}
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
THANX.
