Mac/PC Photo Problem

Hello:

In the past week I taught myself HTML. I'm not a webmaster or anything like that! I just wanted to create a personal website to share photos and update my family on what's going on in my life. I was able to test the site using my PC but now that it's live, I recieved a note from the one Mac user I know that they are unable to see the pictures. Does anyone know what would cause this and how I can correct it? I tried to keep the site simple so maybe there is a simple solution! Thanks in advance,

Amy

Try using the proper path structure:

should be

http://home.nyc.rr.com/amybeth/Images/Purple%20Flowers%20Large.JPG

Ideally you shouldn't have spaces in your file names, and they should be all lower case for best portability (moving to another site over time).

Thanks for the tip! I removed all of the spaces in the files names and changed all to lower case but I can't see if this helped? Where can I check the path structure?

It looks like you simply have the wrong slash in the links to your pictures.

You have:
Images\purpleflowerslarge.JPG'

You should have:
Images/purpleflowerslarge.JPG'

It's simply a matter of changing the backslash in your img links.

On the plus side, frames can be a real bear to get working right so I'm impressed that you've got yours plugging away perfectly here!
Great job. Laughing out loud

gotta finish redesigning my sites so I can show them again.

That was simple enough! Can anyone with a MAC tell me if it worked?

It worked! Thank you so much for your help! I would never have caught that it was something so simple!

Thanks again!
