Javascript redirects with affiliate links.

Hello. I hope I am posting this in the correct forum.

My question is about using affiliate links in newsletters.

How would you use provided text HTML fragments in an email newsletter to preserve the integrity of the tracking?

I have tried using a javascript redirect. The newsletter link would be .../spotlight/redirect.html where the redirect.html has the proper link syntax kept in tack. This however does not seem to track properly.

Any help would be appreciated.
