interactive form fields

hi...

I need your help guys...im creating a page that has a form and i want it to be interactive...

i have this page with a textbox and checkbox on it. what i want to do is change the background color and at the same time disable/enable the textbox once i check/click the checkbox...i know i would use javascript and css, so far i have no any idea...

i would appreciate any kind of help....

There are a number of progressive tutorials here on how to use JavaScript to control forms. Using this as a starting point, you can then branch out and develop your own forms. Part Three is the part that answers your question, but Parts One and Two provide the necessary background.
