IE8 Z-Indexing Issue

Been scratching my head now on this for several days, this site works in IE7, IE9, IE10, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, but darn IE8 just will not get the Z-Indexing right, looked through loads of fixes, read loads of forum posts on the net, but to no avail. I know there is a Z-Indexing issue with IE8, but I've always been able to get around it fine, but not on this one.

If anyone knows why... me and my now receding hairline would be eternally grateful.

See the site here, it's the yellow rotating image in the picture frame that's the issue.

I know IE8 is a bit of an antique now, but we have to code for compatibility back to IE7 on all our sites.
