Ok, Roll eyes

My problem is that I have to detect if a user has the latest version of Acrobat Reader(v5.0). Is there a way to do this? I have created this pdf document where some function will only work with the 5 version of the reader.

Any :confused:dvice

Or check the help files.

They should be able to provide you with the code for their program for detecting the plug-in.

just found this on the web, might help you out:

Quote: Go to

http://www.xs4all.nl/~ppk/js/

under Miscellaneous => Flash Detect. Copy the script, then change the
mimeType in JavaScript to "apllication/pdf" and the Object in VBScript to
"AcroExch.Document" and see if it works.

Let me know how this ends, it's the first time this script is uised for
something else than Flash.
