I am a mac user, beginner in this scripting thing, but I need a script to get my visitor's email, name and a comment and then add them to a display page. It seems very hard to me.

You would be looking for a guestbook. Try doing a search for that and I am sure you will come up with many free options. However, most guestbooks are cgi/perl (www.bratta.com has a dhtml/php guestbook) so you will have read the configuration files carefully and perhaps inquire on how to set it up from a Mac.
