How to make a "Downloadable Link" ???
Hi,
My site is still in the design stages and i am mostly using frontpage to design it.
How do i make it so that other people can download files from me eg mpeg & mp3 ???
Thanks in advance
Tony
Before you criticise someone walk a mile in their shoes......
Then, if they don't like what you say they are 1 mile away and barefoot.

I moved this to the HTML forum.
Just use the tag
'
<a href="http://www.url.com/to/song.mp3">DOWNLOAD MP3</a>

hello adalt-
Welcome to TWF!
I'm guessing that your experiencing the 'thingy' where they click on the mp3 or mpeg link and it plays it instead of downloading it. right?
As far as I know, you can't stop this (I may be wrong). But the visitor should be able to choose File>Save from the player (Media Player for example).

If there is no answer on Google, then there is no question.

You can put in a compressed file such as a zip or something and since you can't play zips, it will download,

Or you could just rename the extension of the file from mp3 to _p3 and get the person who downloads it to add the m.
