How to Link Flash Movie to Another Site
I have a banner that was done in flash and was wondering how I could like it to the correct site. I tried to put tags around it, but that didn't work. Is there any way other than creating the link in the movie when using flash. I don't have the actual flash file, just the .swf so I cannot make any changes.
Thanks,
Mark

As far as I know you can't link around a flash movie by using A HREF tags. I remember trying this before.
Maybe there is a work around. Have you tried placing the flash movie into a table, and linking the TD or the TR of the table?

It really doesn't work with the -tag. It only works inside the movie itself. So if you have a copy of Flash 5, you can import your banner, create a new layer, draw a square as big as the banner is ind the layer above the importet banner. Then u make this square invisible by setting alpha to 0. Then u link this square to ur page.

You could try importing the .swf and turning it into a button, and assigning actions to it. Setting the _alpha property to 0 should be avoided if not totally necessary, it is very processor intensive. Better to set the _visible property to 0.
