Advertisers sometimes state in the small print they may use either, I would check before you did anything incase you forfeit your profit.
just to stop it is easy, remove the code - will be a javascript, usually a onload command making it work from the body tag.
to keep the advertiser, but as a banner you'll need to change the code, and in doing so you can delete one letter or number which would cut off your profit.
can you post a url? this way we can show you actually what to remove.

Hi,
Fiddling with the code will break your contract &&/|| terms of service. In other words, it is usually illegal to alter someone else's code.
If it is an advertiser you personally agreed to place on your web site, I would advise terminating the contract before removing any code.
If the advertiser is coming from your host, you have no legal options -- other than finding another host.

I'm not familiar with Banner-Mania. But if they offer multiple advertisers for your account, can't you just deactivate the one causing you problems?

By sending me the private message, I would be the only one to see the code. One of this forum's goal is to share code and fix eachothers problems with it. That's why I post your code here, Onryreal.

Brings me to the point: What do you exactly want? If you don't want a popup, then just get rid of the code I would say...
