How would I make a link on the main part of a frames page and have it take the top frame away? Thanks

you want a link to remove just the top frame?
first of all, I'd like to see the framed pages. so I can see how you coded them.
My first impression is to just link to another frame page without that top frame, but keeping the names of all the others the same.
Make sense? ...probably not (corn-fusses me too). I'll show you after I see your code.

The left frame I want to have them click a link on the main part of it and have it go to a site without any frames on it at all

Just use page if it's local OR ExciteIt will open a new window and a link to some other sites on any of you frame page.
hope this helps
