Flash Menu Problem
Hi,
I am having a problem linking some Flas buttons to files. The menu can be seen on the left here
I've opened the file in Flash MX but cannot for the life of me figure how to adapt it so I can link the buttons to specific files e.g About Us - index.cfm, Services - services.cfm, etc.
The actual flash file is here in WinZip format
If anyone can give me a strat I'd appreciate it.

well.. it looks nice so far. unfortunately since i don't really know flash all i can suggest since there's no one who's answered is to look at some other forums. personally i think a code snippet where this is occuring in the thread might help if commented well. even someone who doesn't know flash per se, if they know enough other languages, may be able to give you a lgoical place to lok. or inadvertently ask a question for clarifitcatin to understand the snippet that may give you the solution as a side effect
POSIX. because a stable os that doesn't have memory leaks and isn't buggy is always good.

I haven't used Flash for a very long time, so I don't remember much about it at all.
m3rajk, Flash uses Actionscript which is reasonably dissimilar to other languages, in terms of syntax and environment. It's irrelevant anyway, as Phil needs to know how to use some unique function (which, iirc, doesn't have to be coded at all) within Flash.
Phil, check out www.flashkit.com for a basic linking tutorial. Sorry I can't help any further.

I checked out FlashKit but couldn't find anything relevant to my problem in the tutorials so I posted on their forums and we'll see what turns up....

flipper: since it's code is reasonably similar to other languages, if you have a section that's not working (which iswhat ithink is happening) then try posting the section. maybe someone who doesn't know flash per se will see something an ask a question about the syntax that will help you solve the issue
