Flash Detective
Right then. I've finally taken the plunge and added some simple and tasteful Flash to my site. Its in the form of a navbar.
What I want is a simple bit of JavaScript that will detect if Flash is present on a users machine. The reason why is if Flash is not there then I want a text version of the navbar to load up. I've got the code for a user to download Flash id it isn't there but I don't want to use that. Just load a different version of the nav bar if Flash has gone walkies!
JavaScript should do it but I coul;d do with a guru to show me the way!
Many thanks....

no promises.

This is for Flash4 (may need updating) -- you install it in the Flash template folder, then publish using it, but you can also use the code itself.
Hope it works for you, haven't looked at it in well over a year and a half, so take it as is.
