Please, estimate the operation of engine for site

All the pages are made only in HTML, and there is only the text of central column material; building of menu and of other things, display of CSS styles are performed with Java Script, it should be put at the beginning of HTML page and it does everything automatically, design of site is built of separate file with pattern, there the design can be changed within two hours for all the site.
The engine itself is only 4К. The rest is pages, styles, pictures of pattern.

What do you think about this ?

I am a great fan of JavaScript and I am well aware of it's uses.

IMO this is not a very dynamic approach to creating a web site, just a kind of packaged template.

For modern sites (dare I mention "Web 2.x"?) you will need server-side scripting to customize the content, and a database for membership, not to mention CMS.

It does not burden the server? Rather than sending small packets going back and forth, you are downloading some (probably) hefty JS files to the client (and trading off the dynamic use of PHP AJAX etc.)

This package also uses TABLES which is a quaint way to build sites, not very flexible or speedy.

I did not look at the CSS - but based on the rest of the level of technology, I would expect some antique irregularities there, too.

My advice, go grab Drupal, get a nice theme and customize it a little yourself, plug in some modules, and leave this guy in the dust...

antihero, I am favorably inclined towards renewable and supportable living, anti-Capitalist demo-cracy - but this javascript site is old news.

I also think you're a bit disingenuous posting this as if it's something you discovered, rather than something you created and/or promote..

Please stop by the Introductions forum and tell us a bit about yourself - I bet you have a lot to say, and can contribute (as well as learn) much here.. Smiling
