Drop-down navigation system
Hi folks
I just need some advice, if you may ...
What is the best, most browser-compatible way of creating those DHTML drop down menus?
You know the ones, when you scroll over some text another layer appears with more options underneath. As used by http://www.microsoft.com/ for their top nav bar ...
Anyone got any ideas of a good way to make it work across a variety of browsers? Well, really I only need it to span IE > 5, and Mozilla on PCs and Macs, but a wider range would be great.
Thanks!

I guess the ones on dhtmlcentral.com match your requirements.

i made one based on a freeware script called menus.js and a fireworks generated script. i don't think it works in opera but it works in netscape 4+, IE 4+ and all mozilla flavours. feel free to use it or let it inspire you.

You can find cross broswer compatible naviagtional dropdown menus like the ones on microsoft.com by following this link:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com
Then click on naviagtion which will take you to a list of scripts. Then scroll down to a script called Top Navigation bar, theres a version 1,2,3 and 4 for that script, take your pick.
I could of just given you a url, but I couldn't be bothered loading up another browser window.
