If you're really that lost you might want to consider buying a book on it. Even if you could find one on an older version for cheap the basic principles will be the same (although MX does have a lot of added functionality and interface changes that you will have to take into account).
im confused about alot of things on dreamweaver although i am goin through the tutorial. But what I am really confused about is those really samll buttons at the bottom of the program. Buttons such as etc. Well i know what they do because i have been using html for quite some time now but what do they do in this dreamweaver? DO they select those aspects of the page? IF one of you could help me out it would be greatly apriciated. Thnx
That's basically it. It's a way of showing you what the code is doing and where you are in the page. It also lets you select elements so you can manipulate them indepedently. Sometimes it's easier to do it this way to make sure you've got the right thing selected rather than going through the page layout. It can be a little confusing because it doesn't show all the code before what you've got seelcted - it works more like a hierarchy i.e. means that this paragraph is inside a div inside the body, even though there may be other block level elements before . I hope this makes some sense. You should figure it out by working with it some.
thanx megan i dont have any questions rite now but ill post here if im lost again.Thnx all of yoou that posted.

Is there anything you want to know in particular?
(I'm not well-versed in DW, so I do not know if -- unlikely as it may be -- "basics" is a feature of DW.)
