i've noticed at some sites i've been to that when i'm at a page and i go back to the page i came from by hitting the back arrow on my browse they have a pop up appear which makes it appear that the page i'm going back to has the pop up, anybody know the code?

I'm not quite sure what you mean either, are you talking about that onBeforeUnload event handler? I think it only works in IE but I'm not sure. What it does is prompt the user with a dialog box which can actually stop the page from unloading, pretty cool.
I guess this really doesn't sound like what you're talking about

Oh man, I hate that script.. it's worse than an entry pop-up. There was one site that loaded that script into the pop-up window as well, so that I could never leave the site. I had to use the close program box numerous times and then shut down the computer just to leave the site!
But if you really want it I guess I'll put the general idea here, but please only use it on one page if you decide to use it.
