CSS help needed
I have created two divs called wrapper and storybox. Wrapper is supposed to hold everything on the page while storybox is a box to show latest news. I am putting the storybox inside the wrapper but storybox is appearing at the edge of wrapper, instead of being sitting inside the wrapper. You can see the attachment for a view of the layout and here is the code for wrapper and storybox:
div#wrapper {
position: relative;
margin: auto;
width: 750px;
background-color: #fff;
border: 1px #000;
padding: 11px;
text-align: left;
background-image: url(bg.gif);
border-left: 10px #ddd solid;
border-right: 10px #ddd solid; }
div#mainstorybox {
float: left;
text-align: justify;
font-family: Trebuchet, Verdana, Georgia, "Lucida Console";
font-size: 11px;
margin-left: 0px;
width: 380px;
background-color: #ebebeb;
padding-top: 10px;
padding-right: 10px;
padding-left: 10px;
border-top: 1px #ccc solid;
border-bottom: 1px #ccc solid;
}
I want the storybox inside the wrapper. Any clue guys what I am doing wrong?
Thanx
Max

can you post a live example of what's happening so we can easily see the problem... but I think it's the float:left property of the storybox, try replacing those with text-align:left...

probably the float left, or a missing clearing paragraph.
First, add this to your stylesheet - if you don't ealready have a clearing class:
.clear{ clear:both; }
And could you tell us if this is the HTML code on your page?
<div id="wrapper">
<div id="storybox">
</div>
<p class="clear"></p>
</div>
As demonhale said post a link to your work in progress - or the whole html/css not just the css.

Thanx for the replies demonhale and calculator
calculator, your .clear thing solved the problem, but only partially. I have one more problem. I am including a php file in the main section via phpinclude. This file has a menu which has its own stylesheet. Once I include the menu.php, the storybox again goes out of the wrapper. Here is the full html code:
<body>
<div id="wrapper">
<?php include("menu.php"); ?>
<div id="mainstorybox">
<br />
<img src="images/latest.gif" />
<span class="headmain">
AmazingBoyz amaze again</span>
<br /><br />
<a href="images/mainlarge.gif" rel="lightbox" title="AmazingBoyz in action."><img src="images/mainthumb.gif" align="left" border="0" /></a>
Following some intense competition under a visibly tense atmosphere, AmazingBoyz managed to snatch victory from jaws of defeat, mainting their undefeated outing at the Class 2 compeition.<br />
<a href="#"><img src="images/readmore.gif" border="0" align="right"/> </a><br /><br />
</div>
<p class="clear"></p>
</div>
</body>
And here is the CSS for the menu.php file:
<style type="text/css">
#tabs {
font-family: Trebuchet, "Trebuchet MS" Verdana, Georgia, "Lucida Console";font-size: 12px;
width:400px; text-align:justified; background: url(icon/top.gif); margin:0px 0 0 0px; position: relative; z-index:1;}
#tabs ul {padding:0; margin:0; width:400px; list-style:none; position:relative;}
