Box length are different in NN & IE
Hi,
I don't know why in IE, my box length is fine, but in NN, it's way too long! (I agree that it won't be exactly the same in NN & IE, but at least similar!)
And it seems that there is something with CSS
Could anybody help?
The page is at: http://www.guideclick.com/free-site-promotion/meta.htm
(check on NN & IE and you'll see)
Thanks a lot

I can't seem to bring up the page but I think I know what the problem is. Do you have your text box enclosed in a tag? In IE, the form input types inherit the font tags perimeters. So if your font size is -1, then your box is going to be smaller in IE then it will be in NS.
Check to see if you have it enclosed. Also make sure you have made size perimeters for it as well.
simple enough.
I will try to bring up the page again, my ISP is slower then a fat woman haulin' ass through mud.

Oh, the bad thing is that I use CSS, so I don't have anywhere on the page!
But the boxes are in table (and I have a "td" style for CSS)
And I'm pretty sure there is something to do with CSS!

I haven't played enough to find a good work around, because I just don't let it bother me, but in your style sheet if you set the font-family and font-size for the input attribute it will help.

Yeah, that's exactly what causes the problem!!!
I fixed it though, another guy told me to add tags at the begin & end of so in IE, it doesn't matter while in NN it will specify the look of the box
Anyway, thank you
