bordercolor in validation

I'm trying to validate my code. The only error I get consistantly is

Quote: there is no attribute "BORDERCOLOR"

When I click 'explain' it says

Quote: This is most commonly caused by using vendor-specific attributes without setting the document type appropriately.

So it looks like I can go two routes but I don't know either way. Choice A would be to designate the desired border color in another manner (how?) or Choice B would be to change the document type to fit? (how and to what?)

Here's a link to my validation: Click Here

Thanks

Have you tried using CSS to set the border colour?

bordercolor is a microsoft addon, has never been validatable (my new word Laughing out loud ) only option would be to use CSS or not have it validate on that section.

or another way which shouldn't really be used (or at least used with caution) is a nested table with css background color for the border
