<BGSOUND> help
Hi all,
Is there a way to automatically turn off embedded and bgsound the second time the user opens the same page during the same session? This is the code:
I know that I can set the height & width to desplay the console. But that does not help with the .
The client likes this embedded sound rather than using the helper applications.
Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

with javascript you probably could do it, but otherwise it is one page, two different desired effects. I am not a js wiz or I'd post it, but I have fragments of scripts that could be mashed together to possibly do it. This wouldn't be nearly as good as something one of the experts here could whip up in seconds.

I wouldn't recommend having background sound. It's annoying, some users can't here it, and it may cause some to leave. If it really worked, would Yahoo or ESPN use it?
