If you have a table with three columns and you have a background for the table, then in each of the columns you have content placed in tables within the colums, why in NS does it transfer the background to the table in the column as well??

What's the best way to put a background in so that it looks right in every browser??

Wrap another table around the one that you are working on now and put the bg image in the outer table.

heh. N4 has a bug that means if you use a table background image, and none in the table cells themselves, they inherit the background.

I agree that CSS is the best solution.
