Background Images Please Help
Hello,
I am new at web design and I don't use css but html only. I use dw and been playing with composer. I'm on a deadline to get a page complete by tomorrow and I'm stuck.
1 - I have added the header background as an image
2 - I have the footer background that I need to add as background image also
3 - I would just put the footer background in a table but when I stretch table to 1024 a scroll bar and white space appears.
4 - For the same reason above is why i can't just make a table have the background.
Is there a way to give one page 2 backgrounds, top and bottom?
Thanks!

Hi, and welcome to TWF!
I'm curious as to why you don't use CSS. I would also discourage the use of tables for the purpose of showing a bg image. Tables are for tabulated data, not the entire page layout.
I guess to answer your question, extending the table to a specific width will cause a scroll bar to appear if you have the window smaller than that. The best way may be to assign the with a % instead of a pixel width. Would it be possible to provide a link to the page you are working on?

It is always hard to get over a learning curve, but you will thank yourself for years to come, if you sit down for a few days and learn how to hand code a website using HTML and CSS. Then you will never be "held hostage" by your design tools like DreamWeaver.

I don't think the two background image is good, but you can set a background color for the header & footer. Why don't you use CSS of HTML? It is easy to learn and your design will work well.
