Word Files...lol

i know, i know, i said something about creating PDF files....

well, i have a problem (sort of)...i have some word files that have to be word files...is just clicking on the link efficent enough? is there another way for the visitor to download my word files from the server better? thanks

Hi Kyle,
Clicking on the link will usually cause them to download, however you could also package the word files in a program such as WinZip (winzip.com) and make them available for users that way.

Don't you have to have the version of word it was created in to view it?

I had never thought of that! I'll have to check as I recently put some up for a client and he's used the most recent version and that's what I have so never even gave it a second thought! Does any one know??

i dont believe so.... .docs are .docs i believe, unless you go WAYYYYY back the earliest version or two...thanks though
