Windows 2000/PHP Installation
Hey,
I've got a quick (... maybe...) question about Windows 2000. My father has it set up with User Accounts and he gives each of us certain permissions. In Windows 2000 you have to be an Administrator or a Power User to edit anything on the C:\ drive besides your documents & settings folder. He has Apache 2.0 installed for 3 websites, all of which I can access because they are on the D:\ drive. What I need/want is for the php.ini file to be moved to C:\winnt but I can't. I asked him, and he said he would, but he hasn't yet. I asked him about 3 weeks ago.
Now, let me get to the question: is there any way for me to copy the php.ini file to C:\winnt without having to be an Administrator or Power User? Anyway at all? Right now the only way for me to test any of my PHP scripts is to upload them to my site, and it's to slow right now (it won't be next month!) and it's alot easier to just be able to edit it and launch it right off of my local computer. I'd really appreciate any ideas.

if u have a windows 98 SE emergency boot disk or a normal DOS boot disk, slap it in, boot into dos, and move it manually to C drive. If he hasnt used NTFS(IE he has used FAT16 or FAT32) you should be able to move files fine, otherwise you might need special application that can boot and read NTFS partitions in command line. if so u might need to do some googling to find it.
hope this helps:D
