What's this (inside server case)?
What's that vertical chrome bar towards the left side of the case for?
I bought that case and I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do with that thing. The case came with no documentation at all.

The black thingys are lining up with the add-on card slots, so it might be to securely hold those huge cards or something.

AS pr0gr4mm3r said, it looks like a supporting bar for the cards.
Looks like you remove the bar to add cards onto, then stick the bar back in and the cards would slot down into the motherboard. (?)
This one here is slightly different to yours, but has that bar, and the last user comment says
So I guess you could just slot the cards in without it.

Hmmm, that makes sense. It makes me wonder what kind of expansion card is that huge. RAID controller or something, maybe?
I was hoping it was some type of cable organizer. It's a mess in there

Most cards are not that big anymore other than special video/audio devices, mainly the video, ie. DVR, Security controllers, etc.
It's not like it used to be where you had cards that went from the back of the case all the way to the front (thanks to surface mount technology)
